HPD: Henderson man charged for trafficking heroin and meth

A convicted felon has been charged for trafficking meth and heroin.

40 year old DeShawn Johnson, of Henderson, was served three warrants for first degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (> or = 2 GMS but < 100 GMS Heroin), first degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (> or = 2 GMS Methamphetamine), and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

Henderson Police say the charges stem from a search warrant executed last week on January 26, 2016 at Johnson’s home in the 400 block of North Ingram Street where officers found multiple bags of heroin and meth, along with a .357 revolver found under a bed in the same room as the narcotics. In addition, police indicate other items such as digital scales were found in the home.

Johnson is lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.
