HPD: Evansville man in stable condition after wreck in Henderson

An Evansville man is listed in stable condition at this hour at a local hospital after police say he crashed his motorcycle into a minivan in Henderson this morning.

Henderson Police report the wreck occurred around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Barret Boulevard and US 60 East when 28 Whitney Majors, of Henderson, was driving a minivan and began to turn left onto Barret  Boulevard when a motorcycle driven by 21 year old Codi Michael Samples, of Evansville, hit the side of Majors’ van. Police indicate both units had a green light at the time of the accident.

According to police, Samples, who was wearing a helmet, is in stable condition at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.

All westbound traffic on US 60 East was detoured as well as north and southbound traffic on Barret Boulevard while Kentucky State Police assisted Henderson Police with the reconstruction of the wreck, because police say HPD does not have a motorcycle accident reconstructionist.
