HPD: 2 Henderson men charged for possessing drugs

Two Henderson man were charged early Wednesday morning for possessing meth after a traffic stop on North Green Street.

According to Henderson Police, an officer conducted the traffic stop around 2:15 Wednesday morning and K9 Exo also responded to the scene where he alerted for drugs in the vehicle and the driver 22 year old Jessie Hardsock and his passenger, 22 year old Jesse A. Mayes, were removed from the vehicle. Police indicate a bag with a scale, money, pipe and a small amount of methamphetamine was found in the front passenger floorboard where Mayes had been sitting. The release says Hardsock told officers there should be a bag containing about an ounce of K2 in the vehicle, which police found on the ground where Mayes was standing.

Mayes was taken custody and booked into the Henderson County Detention Center for possessing a controlled substance (meth) and drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

According to police, Hardsock was charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs and possessing drug paraphernalia and will appear in court April 19, 2016.
