A 64 year old woman was found deceased in a vehicle discovered Sunday morning in a secluded area off the roadway.
A preliminary investigation released by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office revealed Delores Bowles, of Madisonville, was driving on Carriage Lane around 8:00 Saturday night approaching the intersection with Brown Road when for an unknown reason she failed to stop and crossed Brown Road. The vehicle reportedly ran off the road and hit an earth embankment. Authorities say Bowles possibly didn’t stop due to medical reasons. According to the report, the vehicle was not visible from Brown Road or Carriage Lane.
Authorities say the vehicle was discovered around 7:30 Sunday morning when a landowner of an oil field came onto to the property and found it in a ditch.
