A Hopkins County woman was charged over the weekend for possessing drugs.
According to Kentucky State Police, a trooper stopped a vehicle on State Route 813 in Mortons Gap around 9:15 p.m. Saturday and during the stop he observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the car driven by Britany Warner of Madisonville. During a search of the vehicle, the trooper found methamphetamine, which police say Warner claimed belonged to her.
Warner was charged for first degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
