Henderson woman injured in single-vehicle wreck on Audubon Parkway

A Henderson woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck Wednesday near the 12 mile marker of the Audubon Parkway.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports 52 year old Bernadine Weddington was driving a small pickup truck eastbound on the Audubon Parkway around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday when a front tire blew and caused her to lose control of the vehicle, which hit an earth embankment and overturned. Authorities say the pickup truck came to rest on the passenger side, trapping Weddington inside.

According to deputies, emergency personnel were able to remove the Henderson woman from the vehicle and she was transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital for complaints of neck and shoulder pain.
