Henderson woman charged for burglary, theft of prescription meds

A Henderson woman has been arrested after police say she burglarized a residence and took prescription medications.

Henderson Police reports 28 year old Krista Hatfield was arrested around 9:00 Monday morning on two warrants in connection to a burglary that occurred on January 27 when an officer responded to a burglary in progress on St. Patrick Drive where a neighbor witnessed a woman, later identified as Hatfield, trying to enter a home through the front door and a side window. According to authorities, the neighbor called the homeowner, who was not at home, and advised her to call 911. Police say Hatfield had left from the residence prior to the arrival of an officer. According to police, the homeowner arrived home to find a rear door window broken out and prescription medication missing from the residence.

Authorities say Hatfield was identified by officers after viewing security video from a neighbor’s home.

Hatfield is lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center charged with second degree burglary, second degree criminal mischief and theft of a controlled substance under $10,000.
