Henderson man charged for trafficking cocaine

A traffic stop in Henderson landed an 18-year old male behind bars for trafficking drugs.

Kentucky State Police conducted the traffic stop on Clay Street on a vehicle for failure to illuminate head lamps and careless driving. Upon further investigation, police say the driver, 18 year old Demontre Langley of Henderson, and a passenger were taken into custody.

According to KSP, Langley was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for resisting arrest and first degree trafficking in a controlled substance – cocaine. Police say his passenger was also booked into the Henderson jail, but the release does not disclose the passenger’s name or charges.

The Henderson Police Department assisted KSP at the scene.
