Two local men were seriously injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision in Daviess County Monday night.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene of the wreck at the 1600 block of Wrights Landing Road around 5:20 Monday night where they found a pickup truck driven by 29 year old Adam Adriakos of Owensboro and a SUV driven by 37 year old Russell James of Henderson had crashed head-on.
Authorities indicate both drivers suffered serious injuries and were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by the Daviess County Fire Department and Yelvington Volunteer Fire Department.
According to the sheriff’s office, both men were transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
