Henderson Board of Zoning Adjustment Grants Two Appeals, Continues a Third

HENDERSON, KY, March 10, 2016– The City of Henderson Board of Zoning Adjustment granted two appeals and continued a third appeal during a meeting Wednesday night.

According to City of Henderson Public Information Officer Donna B. Stinnett, the board conducted the following items of business:

–  Granted a Conditional Use Permit submitted by Leroy Poole for property located at 1122 Fifth St. Applicant was requesting the action in order to operate a Crossfit Box Gym in an M-1  (Light Industrial District) zone.

–  Granted a 15-foot height variance for a proposed building at 1200 Barret Blvd, submitted by Owensboro Health Medical Group. The property is zoned Highway Commercial.

–  Continued consideration of an appeal by Habitat for Humanity of Henderson for property located at 715 Fifth St. Habitat is requesting a 14-foot front yard setback along North Alvasia Street. The property is zoned R-3 (Medium to High Density Residential District.)

The next meeting of the BOZA is 5 p.m., April 13, in the Assembly Room.
