Helen Lucille Cain Aigner

Helen Lucille Cain Aigner passed from this world to her heavenly reward January 2, 2019. She was born May 13, 1925 in Union County, Kentucky. She married her beloved husband Joseph Edward Aigner in 1951. He preceded her in death. She died after a brief illness at the age of 93 in Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale, Florida. She had been a resident of Winter Haven, FL since 1971.

Helen had four children. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph John Aigner. She is survived by Brenda (life-long partner Jim Sherbert) Shotwell of Winter Haven FL, and two sons Danny Easley of Clay, KY, and Stephen (Kathy) Aigner of Terra Haute, IN. . She had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Gladys (Durwood) Browning of Sullivan, KY, and many nieces and nephews.

Helen retired from Bagley Bait before spending fourteen years working as McDonalds Hospitality Hostess where she made many friends. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Winter Haven Hospital, receiving the Charlotte glass Award for her service. The American Red Cross honored her as Employee of the Year for 2004-2005. She was a active member of the First Nazarene Church of Winter Haven, where a memorial service will be held at a later date. In Sturgis, KY, family and friends can gather to remember her life at Whitsell Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday 1/11/2019 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY. Rev Joe Baker will officiate.

Visitation will be 11 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Sullivan Community Cemetery in Sullivan, KY.
