A 21 year old Henderson woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck after authorities say she fell asleep while driving.
According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Mikia Shively was driving on US 60 West around 2:15 Wednesday afternoon when about 2 miles west of Corydon she told deputies she fell asleep while driving, causing her vehicle to run off the road and travel about 300 feet in a ditch before crashing into a concrete culvert.
The sheriff’s office says Shively was transported to Methodist Hospital for complaints of hand pain. Authorities indicate her infant daughter, a passenger in the vehicle, was not injured in the accident.
