HCC Welding Building Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Monday

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Monday for a new welding building on the campus of Henderson Community College.

According to HCC President Kris Williams, the new welding building is a $1.4 million project with 20 welding stations and a technology-enabled classroom, replacing a 12-station classroom downtown. She says the project was funded through support made available by Dr. Michael McCall and Dr. Jay Box, past and current presidents of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. Williams notes the new building will also be supported through the sale of the downtown Industrial and Engineering Technology building sometime after March 1st of this year.

HCC in partnership with Kyndle will host the ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:30 Monday morning on the HCC campus at the welding building located behind the Sullivan Technology Center. HCC officials say tours will be available following the ceremony.
