HCC dental student wins scholarship

NEWS RELEASE

HENDERSON, KY (May 2016): Taylor Abney a dental assisting student at Henderson Community College has been named as a recipient of the Juliette A. Southard Scholarship.  Ms. Abney is a resident of Newburgh, IN.

The award is funded annually by the American Dental Assistants Association honoring the memory of its Founder, Juliette A. Southard.  The award is offered to provide tuition assistance for dental assisting students.  Criteria for awarding the scholarship include enrollment in a dental assisting education program, academic records, ADAA membership and stated intent of pursuing a career in dental assisting.

Ms. Abney is from Newburgh, Indiana where she currently resides. Taylor is an avid runner and enjoys participating in marathons and half marathons in her spare time.

Taylor Abney is a 2011 graduate of Castle High School in Newburgh, IN and in 2015 she graduated with honors from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Taylor recently joined the practice of Dr. Ryan Kapp in Newburgh, Indiana
