Henderson, KY – Henderson Community College (HCC) is pleased to announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new location of the HCC Barnes & Noble Bookstore is scheduled for Monday, April 26, 2021 at 11:30AM. The new Bookstore is located on the first floor of the Academic and Technical (A/T) Building on HCC’s campus.
In 2020, HCC closed the Student Center (SCR) Building. That closure allowed the college to be more efficient with its resources, moving the HCC Barnes & Noble Bookstore to an already busy building on campus, and giving students a possible new hub to interact.
The HCC Barnes & Noble Bookstore is the first phase of what HCC hopes will be a new student hub on campus, where students can meet, study, and talk with their peers. We believe that this hub is vital not only to student learning, but to also enhancing the campus experience, and this has been made even more apparent over the last year.
During the event, you will hear from community members, including Ellen Redding, President of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Jason Warren, President/CEO of HCC, Jennifer Keach, Chair of HCC Board of Directors and Director of Communications and Community Relations at Big Rivers Electric Corporation, Bob Berry, President of the HCC College Foundation and President and CEO of Big Rivers Electric Corporation, as well as representatives from Barnes & Noble College!
