Governor Steve Beshear has directed that all flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff today through sunset Thursday in honor of the victims of last week’s attack in Paris, France.
Governor Behear stated in a release that “our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of last week’s unfathomable attack in Paris.” Through acts of support such as lowering the flags, Beshear said, “We join the rest of the world in standing with the people of France, and demonstrating that this unspeakable violence will never be tolerated.”
In addition, the governor encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute to Paris.
