Fugitive from Missouri Arrested in Hopkins County

A fugitive wanted in Missouri for assault has been arrested in Hopkins County.

Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville reports they received a call around 7:20 p.m. Monday in reference to a suspicious person on Cothran Lane in Earlington. Police say the caller told them a male subject had come to their residence and said he was there to perform maintenance on their satellite dish to fix a problem. The caller was reportedly concerned because they were not experiencing any issues with their service. So, when the subject left the caller called state police.

Troopers responded to the area and located the subject on Oakwood Avenue in Earlington. Authorities indicate a records check revealed the individual, 20 year old Darrius Randle, of St. Louis, MO, had an active arrest warrant from St. Louis County, Missouri for second degree assault.

Randle was arrested without incident and charged with Fugitive from Another State and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
