Evansville woman charged for DUI and drug possession

An Evansville woman police say was stopped for not using her turn signal was arrested and charged for DUI and drug possession.

Indiana State Police reports around 6:35 Wednesday evening a trooper stopped 40 year old Crystal Jacoby for failing to use her turn signal when she pulled out of the parking lot of Huck’s Convenience Store on Main Street in Mt. Vernon. During the traffic stop, police say they learned Jacoby had never been issued a driver’s license. It was also determined that she was impaired and driving under the influence, but authorities indicate she refused a chemical test.

According to police, 18 pills in a cigarette pack that were later identified as Hydrocodone were found during a search of the vehicle Jacoby was driving.

Jacoby was booked in to the Posey County Jail where she is currently being held on bond for DUI, possession of a schedule II drug and operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a driver’s license.
