The suspect in the February 13th shooting death of Maurice Heyward has been arrested.
According to Evansville Police, the Wichita Kansas Police Department arrested 26 year old Gerrod Pointer on April 2nd on a warrant for murder. Police believe Pointer shot Heyward outside of the Lucky Lady. Police also found narcotics on Pointer during his arrest and he is facing a drug possession charge.
The details of POINTER’S arrest will be released as soon as they become available.
