NEWS RELEASE
On January 19, 2016, at 4:25 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a farming accident on County Road 750 South East of US Highway 41. When emergency service personnel arrived on scene they discovered an unresponsive male pinned beneath a tree. Efforts to revive the subject were unsuccessful and Gibson County Coroner Barrett Doyle was dispatched to the scene to assist Gibson County Sheriff’s Deputies in the investigation of the death. No foul play is suspected and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday January 20, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. This is an ongoing investigation and the Gibson County Coroner will release the name of the deceased once his investigation is complete.
