Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center Hosts Literacy Event to Help Celebrate Milestone.

April 1, 2021 – Earle C. Clements Job Corps is proud to report it has collected 9852 books which were donated this week to U.C. Public Schools, Head Start Program, U.C. Adult Education, Superior Day Care, Gods Little Lambs Day Care, and others in the community. Staff and others in the community collected books with the aim of improving literacy in our community.

“It was a great opportunity to support such an important cause,” says Amanda Curry. “Literacy is key to success in life and it’s a very important focus of what we do at our facility. We must place a high priority on education as it leads to more opportunities and success in life.”

The Earle C. Clements Job Corps took on this service project to highlight the importance of literacy and to celebrate Management & Training Corporation’s (MTC) 40th anniversary! MTC operates the Earle C. Clements Job Corps.

In 1981, MTC was founded with a mission to help at-risk, underserved men and women change their lives through education and training. Over the past four decades, MTC has had the privilege of helping tens of thousands of people overcome challenges to succeed in the workplace and in life.
