Authorities say a 31 year old woman was stabbed with a butcher knife during an altercation this afternoon.
Around 5:00pm Saturday, the Sheriff’s office and fire and EMS personnel responded to the Kangaroo Express parking lot for a report of a stabbing.
During the altercation, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports 31 year old Lavonda Murphy received a laceration to her lower left stomach area by a butcher knife in the possession of 39 year old Dratessa Shemwell.
At this time, no other details have been released.
The incident is still under investigation.
