(Daviess County, KY)-Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle head-on collision that occurred around 1:10 p.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of Wayne Bridge Road.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, 18 year old Devin S. Lanham, of Owensboro, stated he had just left Panther Creek Park and was driving eastbound on Wayne Bridge Road when he lost control of his pickup truck and left the right side of the road. Lanham reportedly overcorrected, crossed over the centerline and crashed head-on into a Honda CRV.
Authorities say the driver of the Honda CRV died from his injuries. The Sheriff’s Office has not released the identity of the deceased driver pending notification of family.
The report shows Lanham was injured but it does not indicate where he was transported for treatment.
