Traffic ADVISORY

A contractor plans to continue a northbound lane restriction on the US 41 Twin Bridges between Henderson and Evansville on THURSDAY, May 11, 2017.

This northbound daytime lane restriction on THURSDAY is to allow a continuation of work on recent steel upgrades to the bridge structure. The contractor was unable to complete all of the required work today.

Northbound motorists traveling the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson and Evansville should be prepared to encounter a work zone lane restriction starting at approximately 8:30 a.m., CDT, on THURSDAY morning. This daytime work zone is expected to be in place until about 2:30 p.m., CDT, on THURSDAY.

All traffic will initially move to the left-hand or passing lane on THURSDAY.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the Twin Bridges during the day.

There was initially some confusion about the work zone on Wednesday morning. Another contractor had left some work zone signage up from activities on Tuesday night. Discussions today focused on assuring that conflicting signage is removed on Thursday morning.
