A Daviess County man has died from injuries he sustained last week in a single-vehicle wreck on Frederica Street.
The Daviess County Coroner’s Office reports 30 year old Santos Aguilar Luna of Utica died Saturday as a result of his injuries he suffered from the wreck last Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Luna was driving southbound on Frederica Street when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road and traveled down a ditch until it struck a bridge. Luna was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Daviess County and Sorgho Fire Departments.
The sheriff’s department indicated at the time of the report that alcohol was believed to be a contributing factor that caused the crash.
