Corydon man flown to Evansville hospital after head-on collision in Henderson Co.

A Corydon man was flown to a local hospital Tuesday after a two-vehicle head on collision in Henderson County.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports emergency personnel responded to the scene of the wreck around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 47-hundred block of Highway 145 in Corydon. Authorities say 20 year old Dalton Kurtz of Corydon was driving a pickup truck southbound on Highway 145 when he crossed the centerline and crashed head on into another pickup truck driven by 42 year old Donald Trent of Smith Mills.

According to the release, a passenger in Kurtz’s vehicle, 22 year old Ashley McGill of Corydon and Trent were transported by ambulance to Henderson Methodist Hospital and Kurtz was flown by LifeFlight to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries.

The sheriff’s office says Highway 145 was closed for about 90 minutes while emergency personnel worked the scene.

Henderson County Rescue, Henderson EMS, the Corydon Fire Department and St. Mary’s LifeFlight assisted the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
