Corydon man charged for receiving stolen property from church

A Corydon man has been arrested and charged with receiving electronic equipment stolen from a church.

According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, 49 year old David Herron was taken into custody around 3:00 p.m. Monday at his home on Second Street in Corydon after detectives obtained information that property belonging to the New Covenant Church on Vayden Street in Corydon was found inside his residence.

After obtaining a search warrant, detectives reportedly found the sound system equipment inside the home valued at over $500, along with musical instruments and other electronic equipment reported stolen from the church.

Herron was taken into custody and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for Receiving Stolen Property Over $500/Under $10,000.
