Motorists traveling on KY 654 in Crittenden County need to be aware a section of the road will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd reports KY 654 will closed at the Tribune Creek Bridge to allow base repair work followed by paving.
KY 654 will be closed Monday morning at 7:30 and remain closed overnight as the contractor mills out the area then places several layers of asphalt to provide a new base layer to be followed by additional layers of asphalt to create a
new driving surface on Tuesday. Todd says the road is expected to reopen to traffic late Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, message boards have been placed along KY 654 to alert motorists to this planned closure on Monday and Tuesday.
