Spring Cleanup begins today for City of Morganfield residents. Morganfield City Council announced at the March 25, 2016 regular meeting that Spring Cleanup would be held the first three weeks of May, May 2 – May 20, 2016.
Tri County Waste will collect large items such as televisions, microwaves, business or office equipment, mattresses and other furniture.
State law prohibits Tri County Waste from picking up the following items:
Refrigerators
Tires
Air Conditioners
Batteries
Freezers
Washing machines and Dryers
Liquid Waste, such as paint, paint thinner, gasoline
Furnace Units
And yard waste, such as grass, leaves, brush, etc.
Officials say all items must be set to the curb for pickup.
If you need to dispose of items made from steel, or you have tires and batteries you need to get rid of, you can take these items to the Union County Road Department Garage for recycling at any time.
