Caseyville Man arrested for being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Union County Sheriff Deputy James Waller stated the on Friday March 10th at approximately 8:00PM, the Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 685 Caseyville Cemetery Rd. The Caller had called 911 and stated that there was individual that lived in the home at that address that was a convicted felon and that the caller had discovered firearms in the home. When Deputy Waller arrived on the scene, investigation showed that Phillip Edmondson of Caseyville was in fact in possession of firearms and ammunition that were located inside the residence. Edmondson was then arrested for being a (convicted felon in possession of firearms and lodged in the Union County Jail. Five firearms as well as various different caliber ammunition were seized from the home. Deputy Waller was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 16.
