A group of friends have come together to help raise funds for a local family after the sudden death of a father of four children.
Carrie Divine tells WMSK News the group of friends came together after the death of Melissa Polites’ husband, Nick, who was very active in the communities in Union County.
Divine says the funds raised will benefit the couple’s four children.
The burgoo sale will be held Saturday morning, November 7th, at 10 a.m. and they are asking people in the community to preorder.
According to Divine, cash donations will also be accepted.
Carrie Divine also shared some warm memories about Nick and how he was always the first to volunteer for anything to help out the community of Morganfield.
