Body Recovered in Rural Henderson County

UNIONTOWN, Ky. (July 18, 2017)–Kentucky State Police detectives recovered a decomposed body located in a rural area of Henderson County. Authorities with KSP and other area rescue agencies, originated a search for a missing elderly man off Mount Vernon Road just inside Union County, KY. Detectives say canines, which were brought in to assist in the search, located the decomposed body around 5:15 pm in a small creek approximately half a mile from the originating search perimeter. The location where the body was found is just inside Henderson County, KY.

Henderson County Coroner’s Office has removed the body and an autopsy will be performed tomorrow in Madisonville to help confirm the identity.

At this point in the investigation, Kentucky State Police detectives do not suspect foul play.
