A Madisonville woman was airlifted to a hospital in Evansville after a single vehicle wreck Monday in Hopkins County.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to the wreck on U.S. 41/Hopkinsville Road about a half-mile south of the New Salem Circle south entrance in Nortonville. The vehicle then struck a concrete bridge and came to rest in a large ditch.

According to the sheriff’s office, Spence was transported via PHI Air Medical to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville for treatment of her injuries. Two other passengers, 43 year old Dawn Strobel, address not listed, and a juvenile were transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Emergency Room for treatment of their injuries.
