WMSK News now has a few more details regarding a juvenile that was hit by a vehicle in Sturgis on Tuesday.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Thomas, deputies and Sturgis Fire & Rescue responded to the call around 11:40 a.m. where a 12 year old boy riding a bicycle rode out of the parking lot of Casey’s General Store onto 10th Street and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Robert Stone of Sturgis. He reports Stone’s vehicle hit the bike and ejected the juvenile.
Deputy Thomas indicates the juvenile was transported to Union County Methodist Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
