The annual Morganfield Lions Club 2016 Corn Festival is just a little over two weeks away, but deadlines for applications to be turned in for upcoming events during the festive week are quickly approaching.
As previously reported by WMSK News, this year’s corn festival theme is “Envisioning the Future from New Heights.”
Local authorities are urging residents to sign up to participate in the various events.
The deadlines for the events are as follows:
The Miss Pre-Teen and Little Mr. & Miss Pageants – September 9th
The Baby Contest and Corn Festival Parade – September 12th
Miss Corn Festival and Miss-Teen Corn Festival Pageants September 13th
And the Talent Contest deadline is September 14th.
Local officials indicate the early deadline for food and other booths has passed, but late booth entries are welcome.

The Morganfield Lions Club Annual Corn Festival will be held September 15-17 in downtown Morganfield.
