The annual Union County Grain Day was held on Tuesday at the Union County Extension Office in Morganfield.
Ag and Natural Resources Agent Rankin Powell says the 2015 Union County Yield Contest winners were recognized during the event.
Powell indicates the state yield contest winners, Waller Brothers, Keith Hendrickson, Hendrickson Farms, and S & S Farms, will be going Friday to the State Commodity Conference & Awards Banquet in Bowling Green.
As far as soybeans, Powell says there is also a quality contest in addition to the yield contest.
He also congratulates all the winners and participants.
Powell says there was a nice crowd on hand for the annual Grain Day event, as well as good speakers. He adds it was a good day and a good learning experience.
