2 Owensboro men arrested on federal drug charge

Two Owensboro men were arrested on a federal charge after a joint law enforcement investigation regarding trafficking drugs.

Owensboro Police and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the FBI Investigation SWAT Team executed two arrest warrants at locations in Owensboro regarding an investigation into an ongoing cocaine trafficking operation in the Owensboro-Daviess County area.

According to the release, 44 year old Adrian McKenzie and 32 year old Corey Johnson, both of Owensboro, were taken into custody and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center for Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine.

Authorities indicate detectives are continuing to investigate other persons of interest potentially involved in this drug operation and other operations in the Owensboro-Daviess County area.
