Two Evansville residents were airlifted to a local hospital after a motorcycle wreck Sunday in Union County.
Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Heady tells WMSK News deputies and emergency personnel responded to the scene of the wreck around 5:23 p.m. Sunday on US60E in Waverly where William and Jacqueline Beard, both of Evansville, IN, were traveling eastbound when the motorcycle exited the road for an unknown reason, hit a ditch and ejected both of them off of the bike.
Deputy Heady indicates the couple was transported via helicopter to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.
According to his report, US60E was shut down for a short period while emergency personnel worked the scene.
